Image
It was the summer break, and no summer is complete without a trip to the beach. It was pretty last minute, but we managed to book a lovely Hotel room with a view of the sea, and this is the story of my trip. Hope you enjoy reading this. It was a nice sunny morning on August 2, and I was super excited to go to Seaside!!!, So we packed our bags and had some breakfast and left for our first stop  The Astoria Column . It was a total 3 hours drive. As we were crossing through SeaTac my brother and I saw four Alaska Airlines and two Deltas as well as a Southwest . The Deltas were a a330 neo and a 737 and the Southwest and Alaska planes were just 737s. After a few hours later we entered Oregon through this super cool and long bridge, and I saw some long container ships.                                                                                   Few minutes later we pulled into the Astoria Column it was so tall and had some historical pictures on it. After purchasing a $1 wooden airpla

Hi readers today I will be telling you about my visit to Whidbey Island. It was a nice sunny morning on July 26th, 2024, and I was super excited to go to Whidbey Island, but first I had to go to my swimming class at Redmond Pool. After my swimming class I quickly had breakfast and helped my dad get the car ready for the trip. We were going with another friend's family. Then we left for our meeting point which was a place called Avon Villa. After they came we decided our next halt. Then we got in our cars and left for this place called Deception pass   An hours' drive later, we arrived at the lake we saw people fishing. We enjoyed a small game of soccer at this big field and then we decided to head for Fort Casey . Then an hour later we pulled into Fort Casey. But before we could go explore the fort, we needed to have our picnic. For our picnic we had pasta and some sandwiches with cherries for dessert.   It was a hot summer afternoon, so we decided to try out some local ice-cr

A Trip to Jaipur Rajasthan

Image
Have you ever been to the pink city of Rajasthan, India. Well, I have and this is the story of my India trip. It was early morning one day at my grandparents’ house in Noida and I woke up feeling excited because we were going to Jaipur that day. Since my dad’s passport had not yet arrived after visa stamping, we had to postpone our tickets back to Seattle and that is when we decided to go to Jaipur to utilize this time instead of getting bored at home. So, after getting ready and having breakfast, we put our bags in the taxi and left for the Pink City of Rajasthan.  On our way to Jaipur, we were going through this almost deserted highway and I saw a sign with “Mumbai 1365” written on it. It was there because we were on Delhi-Mumbai highway. After a few hours, we stopped at a rest stop that was under construction and had a small Starbucks and McDonald outlet. After a little stop, we, then, continued on our journey.                                                                      Qu

The Story of Air India

Image
Do you know the story behind the iconic airline of India? This story will tell you about how Air India was created.          On October 15th, 1932, JRD. Tata Indias first licensed pilot founded the airline Tata air Mail . Its first flight was from Karachi-Ahmedabad-Mumbai. The flight was piloted by Tata himself and the aircraft was a single engine puss moth aircraft. The flight usually took about 8 hours because the planes could only fly at 50mph. After a year the airline changed its name to Tata airlines then after India's Independence the airline was renamed into Air India International  Bombay-London was its first international destination. But now things take a deep dive downward as then the government of India took control of Air India from the Tatas. Then upon seeing how the tatas managed the airline the government then decided to sell the airline back to the Tatas in 1953 for another twenty-five years. Tata spent half nearly half of his day for Air India. He decided things

A road trip to remember

Image
This is my story of my family's first road trip in US we planned in just 2 days, covering 4 National Parks and 5 states where we will be travelling a total distance of 2200 miles in 8 days. Our trip to India we had planned all summer was cancelled at the very last moment, due to some visa issues. All our bags were packed and the mood in the house was gloomy to put it mildly. My father was planning to go extreme on the road trip. His idea of the road trip was to travel the breadth of America from West to East, starting from Seattle in Washington to Boston in  Massachusetts. To put it into perspective that would mean a distance of 3,045 miles one way and then back. That would be just 6 days one way drive even if we drove like 500 miles per day with my younger brother who is just 4 years old. Thankfully some sense got into him, and we decided to abandon the plan. So, what actually ended up happening was a more planned trip, where we covered 250 miles per day and enjoyed the  rest of t

A Visit to Palm springs

Image
It was early in the morning, and I woke up to the sound of my mom's footsteps going to the kitchen. I tried to go back to sleep but I just couldn't because I was too excited to go to Palm Springs, California. We had already packed our bags the night before and our uncle was coming to drop us off to the airport, where we will be meeting our friends and fly together. It was the middle of December and departures were all backed up, like the Wall Street had just closed for the trading day.  After 40 minutes we arrived a SeaTac international airport and I hugged my uncle, and we went into the Alaska airlines section. The SeaTac airport is spread in an area of 2500 acres and has 3 runways. The airport entered service in 1949 and is owned by port of Seattle.  There we checked in for our flight and we waited for our other friend's family to come. Once they arrived, they checked in and we all went to security check and then we went on a tram to the N gates, our gate was n11. Once
