A Trip to Jaipur Rajasthan
Have you ever been to the pink city of Rajasthan, India. Well, I have and this is the story of my India trip.
It was early morning one day at my grandparents’ house in Noida and I woke up feeling excited because we were going to Jaipur that day. Since my dad’s passport had not yet arrived after visa stamping, we had to postpone our tickets back to Seattle and that is when we decided to go to Jaipur to utilize this time instead of getting bored at home. So, after getting ready and having breakfast, we put our bags in the taxi and left for the Pink City of Rajasthan.
On our way to Jaipur, we were going through this almost deserted highway and I saw a sign with “Mumbai 1365” written on it. It was there because we were on Delhi-Mumbai highway. After a few hours, we stopped at a rest stop that was under construction and had a small Starbucks and McDonald outlet. After a little stop, we, then, continued on our journey.

Moving on, it took us 4 hours to get to my mom’s friend’s house in Jaipur. After reaching Jaipur, we felt tired and took rest that day. Next day, after having breakfast, we leave for Hawa Mahal. Hawa Mahal is so cool because of its construction and is aptly known as the Palace of the winds. From there we went to visit Jal Mahal. Jai Mahal is a palace on water!! It is so cool to see a palace on water. As we were visiting Jal Mahal, I noticed that there were a lot of sellers selling jewelry, souvenirs and other kinds of stuff along the walkways. Next, we went to visit Amer Fort or Red Fort of Jaipur. We got to learn about the history of the Fort and how it was used by many rulers of Rajasthan. We got to visit places like the servants’ quarters, kitchen and balcony’s gardens and even a toilet. After visiting these places, we went to see the Mandir inside the Fort. It was so beautiful on the inside. We also got to taste some sweets that were Prasad. Then we went to a souvenir shop inside the Fort to get magnet souvenirs for me and my friends.
After visiting a few more places, we got into our taxi and started in our way back to Noida. We took the same highway. 4 hours pass and we finally pull into my grandparents’ home and that was the end of our exciting visit to Jaipur.
