All about Leonardo da vinci

Have you ever wondered who painted the Mona Lisa? Can you guess? If you said Leonardo da Vinci, you are correct. In this story you will learn about Leonardo da Vinci's life. 


                                                                 Early Life 

Leonardo da Vinci was born on April 15, 1452, in the city of Vinci, Italy near Florence. His parents were never married and after his birth, his father married another woman whose father was a wealthy shoemaker. After his father got married Leonardo's uncle came to live with them. They lived on a small farm. When Leonardo was only 5 years old, he went for a walk not far from his house. Then he came upon a largo cave, he was scared to go inside but he bravely went inside and found a big whale fossil WOW, he exclaimed. He was also very good at math, reading, writing but at that time the language of Itay was Latin but he did not study that language. 


                                                                  Lifes Work

When he grew up, he became an inventor and invented the diving suit, Tank, and the Helicopter. Then in 1482 he became an artist, and his first painting were the last supper. Then the Duke of Milan invited Leonardo to paint for him, so he went and made many great paintings like the self portrait of him. Then after that he went home and started to paint the famous Mona Lisa. His painting the Mona Lisa was put in a museum called Louvre Museum.

                                                            

                                                                   Later Years 

 In 1506 after he finished painting the Mona Lisa, he went to paint for the King of France forever and never came back to Italy. When he came to France he lived in a house near the castle. In one painting that he made he also wrote about it. In 1519 he passed away due to a stroke.
