Diary of a Wimpy Kid, The Getaway

 Today I finished Diary of a Wimpy Kid, The Getaway. It was so exciting read that I finished the book in 2 days straight. The plot is built around a Greg Heffley and his family. 

One day while Greg was watching tv with his mom, they saw this ad that was saying go to a fun and relaxing resort. His mom got excited, and she told her husband about it. They booked a flight to go Isla de Corales resort. Then she, Rodric (Gregs brother), Manny (Gregs baby brother), Gregs dad and Greg packed their bags and left for airport.

At the airport they parked their car and they left to take the bus to the terminal. The bus stop was crowded so Greg and his family had to wait outside of the bus stop in the cold. After the bus came, they got on and went to the terminal. They check in for the flight. Adventure starts soon, when they are removing their shoes, Manny takes of all his clothes! Mom put the clothes back on Manny. As when they are going down the escalator Manny's s stuffed toy got stuck, so his mom stops the escalator and takes it out.

They look at the time and then father says," Oh no!! we are going to miss our flight. They quickly rushed to the gate but when they arrived, the flight was delayed because the pilots and crew members wanted to spend time with their family.

 They waited for the replacement crew to arrive. Then they boarded and only his dad got to sit in First class, as he was a frequent flyer. When Greg finds his seat, he sees that his seat is unoccupied but a family board the plane and they sat with Greg. After the flight Greg and his family got on the bus and went to their hotel. They got the keys, and they went to their room.

 Mom says we can go out to get some food, but when the food comes, animals start attacking! so they go to another restaurant. The owner of the second restaurant says," You have to wear proper clothes to eat here, so they went back to their room."

They remembered that they had accidentally taken someone else's suitcase! They open it, and they find the clothes that the owner had said to put on. They put on the clothes and went to the restaurant and ate a meal. After that they go to play golf but the owner of that suitcase and clothes found them and reported it to the police. The police caught them and ordered them to take of the clothes. Then he takes them to the airport. The family has an idea to sneak past the airline desk and they exit the airport and take a taxi to the resort.

when they get there, they book a small glass bout. They get on the bout and the bout takes them to the ocean. Greg is scared because was a glass bout, and it might sink! The family put on scuba clothes, and they splashed into the water! and mom took pictures. But when Greg sees a seahorse, he thinks he accidently swallowed it. They get back on the bout and they go back. A doctor sees Greg and says that he is fine. Mom counts everybody to see that their all here, but Rodrick isn't.

They get back on the bout and race to find Rodrick, They find him in the water with a sunburn. They took him back to the beach where the doctor examined Rodrick. and he gives mom a bottle of sunscreen! Then dad says we have to go back so they go back to the airport and catch their flight.

In the closing the Heffley's did not go back to the resort after that because they knew that if they had gone back, they would have been caught the end.
