A president needs to be at least 35 years old and natural born US citizen. He/she can only serve 2 terms, 1 term lasts 4 years. The president has to be a natural U.S born citizen. The president even has to the power to reject laws passed out by the government. But the chief duty of the president is to make sure all the laws of the United States are executed. 2. Vice president The vice president is the presiding officer of the U.S senate. Also, the Vice president will take over the duties when the President cannot come to the office for any reason, and they also have a vital role in the U.S Constitution.
